Reverse osmosis (RO) is a water purification process that uses a partially permeable membrane to separate ions, unwanted molecules and larger particles from drinking water. Reverse osmosis can remove many types of dissolved and suspended chemical species as well as biological ones (principally bacteria) from water.
An ultraviolet water system is a disinfection process that uses disinfectant UV or ultraviolet. This is a chamber Inside which is a lamp and as the water flows, the lamp emits a disinfectant wavelength of radiation that Inactivate: any organism living in that water supply. When to choose RO based water purifiers?
If the TDS of your source water is more than 500 PPM and if water contains dissolved solids like fluoride, arsenic, lead etc, you require an RO System of filtration. Its a good idea to get your water tested in a lab or by a qualified technician . Depending on the water test report, if water contains fluoride, arsenic, lead more than suggested range, you have to go for RO water purifier.
